Through the Pages of a Book

There is no better way to gain an understanding of and love for nature than to be amongst it.  Exploring, observing, experimenting, playing, recording.  There are, however, some wonderful books that promote the importance of caring for nature and can support a child’s appreciation for it.  Through the pages of a book, a new world can be opened up.

My children recently discovered a sweet book that does just that: Hank Finds an Egg, by Rebecca Dudley.  This amazingly crafted and beautifully photographed story conveys the wonders that await in nature, the impact we can all have on it, and the true joy of showing concern for and kindness towards others.

This wordless book is a must see and one I’ll be adding to our collection to share with children for years to come.  I hope through the pages of this book, your child will be inspired to see the wonder and care for the nature all around.
